Professional History
Simon's love of all types of great pop and dance music began at a very early age. He started his DJ career in the mid 1980's, working in Town Centre Nightclubs and also at private parties in and around Yorkshire.
He soon gained an enviable reputation for his great command of the dance floor and his entertaining microphone manner.
Simon continued to DJ in nightclubs in the 1990's at the heart of the dance music explosion and this is where he perfected his mixing skills.
Corporate clients, celebrity events and prestigious residencies
soon followed and Simon's wealth of experience and unwavering passion for music has taken him around the world with gigs at many prestigious venues such as the Trump Doonbeg Resort and even an exclusive celebrity attended performance at Sandy Lane Country Club in Barbados.
DJ Simon P.A. has held the DJ residency at the Royal Armouries & New Dock Hall in Leeds for 25 years, playing to corporate clients year round and to over 10,000 people every year at their famous public Christmas Party Nights in the festive season.
In 2023 Simon was the first DJ to perform at the First Direct Arena in Leeds in the new SKY VIP Lounge for Olly Murs' official after show party on his "Marry Me' Tour.
Simon also owned and ran Discotechnology, a DJ and professional sound and lighting equipment retail store in Liversedge West Yorkshire from 1997 to 2022, supplying hundreds of DJs and entertainers with quality equipment from all the industry's major brands.
